Kubernetes เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่เรียกว่าแทบจะขาดไม่ได้เลยสำหรับองค์กรยุคใหม่ในปัจจุบัน แต่เมื่อ Kubernetes เติบโตแล้ว หนึ่งในโจทย์ของเราคือการคอยเก็บ Metrics บน Kubernetes เพื่อนำไปดูเทรนด์หรือ Investigate ปัญหาต่างๆ ให้ได้ แน่นอนครับว่า Kubernetes ได้เตรียมเครื่องมือที่ตอบโจทย์นี้ให้เราแล้ว นั่นก็คือ Prometheus ซึ่งแม้ว่าจะไม่ได้มีที่มาจาก Kubernetes โดยตรง แต่ Prometheus ก็นิยมใช้เก็บ Metrics จากตัว Kubernetes เนื่องจากเป็นโอเพ่นซอร์สเหมือนกัน และดูแลโดยองค์กรเดียวกันคือ CNCF ก่อนที่จะเริ่มตั้ง Prometheus เราต้องมาทำความรู้จักกันสักเล็กน้อยก่อนว่า Prometheus คืออะไร Prometheus เป็นระบบโอเพ่นซอร์สสำหรับการมอนิเตอร์และแจ้งเตือน โดยบริษัทแรกที่พัฒนาขึ้นมาคือ SoundCloud และปัจจุบันผู้ดูแลคือ CNCF องค์กรเดียวกับที่ดูแล Kubernetes สถานะของโครงการ Prometheus เป็น Graduated ตั้งแต่ปี 2016 ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่สองที่เข้าสู่สถานะแกรตของ CNCF (โครงการแรกที่แกรตของ CNCF คือ Kubernetes นั่นเองครับ) สำหรับงานหลักของ Prometheus มีดังนี้ ตัวอย่าง Metric ตามฟอร์แมตที่ Prometheus สามารถอ่านได้ ปัจจุบัน…
