Kubernetes & hybrid cloud and business needs | by Sajjad Hussain | Cloud Believers | Feb, 2021 | Medium medium.com
Looking at hybrid cloud platforms and solutions, there are nothing more than two categories, one is built on Kubernetes the other is not built on Kubernetes. No matter how large an enterprise is, or what type of enterprise it belongs to, as long as you want to connect and integrate with the public cloud on local or remote infrastructure, you must not avoid Kubernetes technical issues. Before solving these technical problems, let’s first understand what kind of relationship is between Kubernetes and hybrid cloud? As an open source container orchestration tool, Kubernetes itself is a hybrid cloud platform. Users can deploy on local or public cloud infrastructure as needed to manage applications running in containers. Not only that, but Kubernetes also exerts one of the most critical benefits in the hybrid cloud architecture. It can provide a unified way to deploy and manage applications, so that applications can have a consistent experience regardless of the infrastructure. Whether it is a public cloud, a private cloud or a hosted data center, it can be deployed in a unified manner. And, because Kubernetes can manage applications across multiple types of infrastructure at the same time, it can enable users’ public cloud, private cloud, and managed data center to achieve cross-platform management.
